April - I see London, I see France!

Sunday, August 10, 2014

We've been so fortunate to have had several family members come visit while we've lived here in England. This past April, Matt's Aunt and Uncle, with their children, flew into London and we met them there to do some sight seeing. Here are a few shots from the lovely day we had touring some of London's most famous spots!

April - Our Trip to the Netherlands

Friday, August 8, 2014

Since this might be our last April here in England, we decided we needed to plan a trip to the Netherlands to see the beautiful fields of tulips there. The Keukenhof Garden, where these famous tulips are located, is only open for two months of the year to ensure that all of the tulips are in beautiful bloom. So, even though I was eight months pregnant, we had to make this trip! And, since we were so close, we had to stop by Amsterdam as well!

The Anne Frank House

I was SO excited to get to go into the Anne Frank house. It was an incredible experience to be able to walk behind the bookshelf and go through the rooms where these people lived in hiding for two years. It was also incredibly sad. I did get to see Anne's actual diary though! We were not allowed to take pictures inside, so we snapped this one outside the doors.
